This marks the concluding text I am writing ahead of two possible developments: we make it to Gaza, or Israel seizes our ship. We hope to get there around October 9th, following our journey the seas since September 27th.

Last week witnessed the seizure conducted by Israel the crew members on the primary aid vessels just before their scheduled arrival. This appears to be the comparable stage when Israel may attempt to capture our boats belonging to our humanitarian mission.

Sailing Amid Uncertain Waters

These events have merely reinforced our united commitment to persist in our journey.

Daily Existence at Sea

At this sailing stage, I've developed a pattern. My resting pattern includes sleeping from 11pm to 2am, followed by overnight duty until 5am, obtaining further sleep afterwards for a total of five hours. More sleep proves impossible between turbulent waves and constant interruptions from shared accommodation.

My bed comprises a slim mattress positioned above the couch in the communal zone. Daily I get clothed enclosed in my bedding as another makes breakfast in close proximity. Certain aspects of coexisting alongside six fellow activists on a 40-foot vessel require significant adaptation.

The Operation's Goal

The therapeutic resources and baby nourishment items stored in the stern cabin and steering zone of our boat could save numerous lives should we achieve our goal. In a recent discussion, someone suggested they perceived our operation as metaphorical since interception seemed inevitable.

From distant perspectives, this understanding could appear reasonable. However, after sailing more than seven days with humanitarian aid throughout your environment, familiar with its specific storage, persisting belief proves necessary for reaching those in need.

Transforming Relief Efforts

But, distributing resources constitutes more than the mission's final objective. Israeli authorities frequently inquire regarding our refusal to let them distribute our supplies. Aside from justified suspicion about whether distribution would occur during sustained barriers, accepting such arrangements would indirectly endorse Israeli control over Palestinian waters.

Troubling Reports

Additional accounts surfaced regarding the first mission members: relocation to desert detention, their classification as illegal immigrants despite forcible removal outside national jurisdiction. Accounts described withholding of basic necessities comprising hydration, treatment and nourishment, combined with humiliating conduct and occasional violence by detention officers.

Updated figures revealed numerous mission members were removed with 138 remaining detained.

Larger Framework

These conditions appear horrific yet they pale in comparison to the institutional mistreatment endured by incarcerated individuals within the same facilities. Reported examples comprise fatal brutality causing fatalities without subsequent accountability concerning participating officers.

Rights monitoring groups have comprehensively chronicled widespread torture practices and sexual violence incidents throughout imprisonment locations. Although global attention concerning humanitarian workers' situation stays warranted and essential, similar attention has been lacking regarding Palestinian hardship during years of struggle.

Each morning I observe the endless marine expanse and the descending amber moon before the next daybreak. This nautical liberty to journey tremendous distances highlights the essential comprehension that our objective surpasses aid.

Liberation for Palestinians stays unachieved while our personal freedoms continue restricted unless that independence is accomplished. This fundamental truth clarifies our persistent navigation. The reasoning proves straightforward.
