Netflix Chooses Ideal Star for Bon Clay in One Piece Season 3
The Secret Organization is poised to exert significant influence in the forthcoming season on Netflix of One Piece, although the real showdown won’t take place until the third season, and a cherished, popular member has now been chosen.
The platform declared recently that Cole Escola is now part of the One Piece season 3 cast and will portray Mr. 2. The role can use their power to transform into an exact copy of any person they’ve made contact with with their dominant hand. Escola, who is gender non-conforming and prefers they/them pronouns, will play a rendition of that character reinterpreted as non-binary, rather than as a drag performer, in the live-action show, unlike the original manga and animated series.
The new cast member joins several other new cast members tasked with bringing the organization to life, featuring leader Sir Crocodile, brought to life by the well-known actor, a talented actress as Miss Goldenweek, and an accomplished actor, who is also part of the lineup as the monarch of the fictional land.
Even though the role is a major member of the group, the persona will be introduced in One Piece the upcoming installment. Considering the next season likely to portray the Little Garden storyline, this marks a major departure in the placement of Bon Clay’s introduction, one that could signal additional alterations to the story’s structure.
Their mix of precise humor and deep sensitivity makes them a standout choice for the role. Besides their recent voice performance in the animated feature Boys Go to Jupiter, they earned widespread acclaim and several accolades for penning and acting in the successful stage production Oh Mary!, highlighting the versatility they’ll add to one of One Piece’s most celebrated figures.
The streaming service’s real-life One Piece series is set to return for its next installment on March 10th, 2026.
